Did you know that two anime inspired Hatsune Miku's character design came from not one, but two anime? The overall character design is based on the magical girl show Magical Angel Sweet Mint, while name and other features, such as hair color were derived from Metal Fighter Miku.

For those wondering about the large influx of "anti-Evangelion" articles coming out, I just wanted to say that Evangelion is a good anime and a great manga, however there are other worthy mecha anime from this era. Big O, Nadesico, Rahxephon GaoGaiGar and Eureka Seven are all equally worthy of being called the best among mecha. (Have not seen TTGL, so I cannot comment on it).
