I tried to make this work (ur website is amazing btw): i centered the grid by putting `justify-content: center;` on it, removing its margin, and removing the fixed width from the body

@scarecat MY GOSH YOU ACTUALLY DID IT- THANK YOU!! I can't even state how glad I actually am- you practically fixed my whole site figuring this out

Well... here it is, folks. The promised main page revamp. I managed to fix a whole lot of issues with responsiveness here (specially since you NEED to be able to click the button or properly scroll down), and almost everything works well on smaller screens. Except D.O.M. I'm still figuring out how to make him responsive without pushing stuff around >:1

But ye, tell me what you think of it! I'm actually pretty proud, it looks cleaner than the original, with better textures n' stuff. I also hope to add some nifty secrets to it in due time

My next priority is revamping the home page's layout a lil' bit. Tweaking some details, adding some buttons, a new pagedoll, more ads... I'll see what I'll do to improve it. My about page is also on the to-do list!

@tautozhone Aw, thank ya! I worked quite hard to get things to look harmonious there- as well as simplify a bit of the cluttered vibes it had :]

@soapfriendo Huh, that's really bizarre... it showed up for me and on my phone (plus a really old ipad). I'm clueless on why that's happening for ya

Aww, thank you! I'm still planning on adding more ads in the coming future, together with some quality of life redesigns on the layout ^^ I'm finally figuring out how to make some of the layout be more responsive on different screen sizes, despite the grid system!

it's got a better editor, more customizable site previews, the social aspect is a little more interesting, but overall it's similar enough to be easy to use... i'm enjoying it a lot so far

@glassheart Hmm, that does sound interesting... I'm tempted to create an acc there, but I might still give it some time :]

It's kind of the same except without microblogging and it's added customizable site previews. Harder to use external tools to work on your site, if that matters to you, but I believe community members are trying to come up with some.

I also just noticed- the most wholesome part is the fact it was made by Neocities peeps too, such as Dimden and Melps... I recognize some of these people ^^

@nenrikido Hm, I see. I figured it would be harder because of the hosting of the site on a github, but I wish them the best figuring out ways to polish stuff. For now, I'm sticking to Neocities, since I'm used to how it is for now ^^

Not a fan of the tiny font honestly. The customisable thumbnails are cool!

not fan at all. I think it was a perfect host for kawaii and girly sites. but for people who likes dark and bloody, its a conflict. look at my address, https://jaggiebrawlers.nekoweb.org/ it doesnt seem to go
ninacti0n

@chocolaterevel I can see why- it can be kinda hard to read it :T I feel they used it because some types of sites from the 2000s would use that font. It's built in the system, if I'm not mistaken. And yee- the previews are quite funky, I can see how they would catch a person's eye more easily.

@jaggiescrapper Personally speaking, I feel it's a matter of time until the vibes get more diverse in the community. The same way Neocities is very mixed, Nekoweb might end up mixed too ^^

@ninacti0n you might be right but c'mon.. a domain with word "cat" on it! I dont even like cats. at least neocities is a legacy of geocities, the grandfather of free web hosting

its cute! certainly not going to be using it as actively as neocities but i am setting up a little outpost.& the live cursors made me experience childlike whimsy again i love them so
ninacti0n

@webcatz Oh yeah, I noticed the cursors too! They're a very silly detail ^^ I feel the only use I would find for it would be to have better management over certain pages, but that just feels redundant lol. I'll stick here for the time being ^^

I literally just updated this for the Neocreatives webring update :'] Just realized the email from the webring owner was in the spam folder... everything is now up to date there!

And yeah... I'm still designing a different layout for the homepage! More responsive on smaller screens, prettier-looking and with extra stuff to click on >:]
Playlist support is optional, but it's a welcome addition regardless ^^ Just letting you all know
try https://uifresh.net/html-music-player-examples/ just edit the source code to your liking
webcatz has a great audio player script in the resources page, which has options for connecting to custom html elements:
if u want something you can style completely urself (and have a tiny bit of js experience), i have a https://webcatz.neocities.org/lib/audio-player.js that you just give a tracklist and html elements to and it makes it all work
OH LOL scarecat is already repping me
Ayoo, thank you all so much!! Specially @scarecat and @webcatz with the completely custom audio player. I appreciate the list too, @jaggiescrapper! I was scrolling through a bunch yesterday, so anything would be helpful to have regardless ^^ Might include both options in the Resources page soon!
