Hi there, I read your accessibility post and I noticed the same. I'd like to join the Accessible Net directory along with my other site (scopefilter) which meet the vast majority of the criteria EXCEPT a light-dark toggle. I realize this kind of toggle is useful but the sites do respond to native High Contrast modes in Windows to switch the colour scheme which I hope is enough until I have the chance to code it.

The other thing I wanted to add with the accessibility post which is something I've noticed, and I actually find very disorienting is how a lot of people's websites change layout from page to page. But I was thinking of making my own a11y post at some point so I guess that's one of the things I'll mention :) really like your site design btw (Also the Punk Wasp link in your blog post doesn't lead to a blog post)

You actually don't need to code a toggle! A simple prefers-color scheme light/dark media query with some colors switched around works fine :> I provided some links on how to do it underneath that guideline, kalechips shows how to do it quickly! https://kalechips.net/stuff/snippets?p=darkmode

Thanks! Took awhile for me to figure out why it wasn't working but Kalechip's code doesn't work unless you enclose the :root {} inside the media query... which is what they've done on their site. You can use the Dev Tools which has a Light and Dark mode switch to test if it's working.

Thanks cc! I saw you're also in Australia (Brisbane here) and use a screen reader to test your site which is awesome. I still need to make further adjustments to my site. Will definitely add your button to my site (Links page) it seems like we have a lot in common plus your site design is awesome.

Moved the language learning resources (and added more links) to Miscellaneous Links (https://pixelglade.net/resources/collections/misclinks.html) All web collections have more entries - extra radio stations in Online Radios, added vegan art resources in Art Resources, ROM hacking / assembly programming and scientific programming into the code page.

re your comment on my accessability page: the light and dark mode buttons were actually inspired by a CSS property i just learned about! color-scheme: dark; and color-scheme: light; i used it for that pg in particualr bc its reletively unstyled. if you want custom styles for your dark and light modes youll prob have to make a style sheet for each

interestingly in css you can only apply it to html, it doesnt work applied to body (i may be wrong tho, i didnt dig too deep)

These are really great, thank you. I looked up a bit more about it and it looks like you can use media queries to adjust colour schemes with prefers-color-scheme.

Hey Neonbandit, your DeltaRune battle dialogue page gave me the inspiration to go back to an old piece of code where I was trying to do a visual novel type interface (it's still no way near finished) but I encountered a weird issue I was wondering if you could help me with. Unfortunately consolidating 3 different style.css sheets broke a few things on my site style-wise. Nothing life destroying but... yeah. It's getting a bit like jenga.😅

For example, I didn't even touch the breadcrumb menu and now it's broken. Probably something to do with how I used selectors on the nav element. Why do CSS selectors have to be so complicated? 😭

New comment on the Drawing Architecture in Perspective blog post about FromSoftware's gothic aesthetic (thank you, ohmi!) Plus, a more hidden update but web developers will appreciate. Managed to consolidate two separate style.css pages on the site. Now there is only one, using the magic of id tags and all: inherit.
