The one thing keeping me from drawing more is 1. I am bad at scaling to make things look good at 150x150 and 2. I routinely forget Moderneo exists even though it made me very happy the first year I played.

Cool post! 👍 I’m not sure if this is a common practice or not, but my local library lends out modern console games. 🙂 Thankfully, there are a few remastered N64 games available for purchase on the Switch that aren’t tethered to its subscription service, though I wish the Virtual Console were still around. 🎮 By the way, have you played Macbat 64 on the Switch? 🦇

I forgot libraries allow game rentals, but I think as a business it's just not a thing anymore... I haven't played Macbat 64 yet but it's been on my wishlist.

I have a review in progress for this month, but I got burnt out and it'll be done later than today.

Hey... Phil's under a HUGE amount of pressure every year. He didn't want to be the Chosen One, having to predict the weather in the weird human ceremonies. I will always stand up for Punxsutawney Phil for handling things so well. I can DEFINITELY say I would not perform as well as him as a forecaster.

oh, the whole story about doobl was interesting. it was pretty obvious it was fake, everything was happening too quickly, but a decent little meta story, nonetheless. i’m sad that the modern era is too cynical to truly enjoy stuff like this or ‘hogwarts school of prayer and miracles’ anymore…

I've thought about what a modern version of a "fictional creator breakdown" would be like but it wouldn't work unless someone was a really, really dedicated troll and tried to make an online presence and fake something to get called out for, etc. It really was a product of its time...

But - I do feel you on losing interest to post. I've been wanting to re-design my site but I have no idea where to start, and also nothing interesting happens in my life so I have nothing to talk about lol. How is Xenoblade!?
I know you can embedd Dreamwidth posts to Neocities, but I liked keeping both blog separate since NC was being able to yell without someone yelling back.
I'm still very early in Xenoblade X DE since I play on my lunch breaks but it's already shaping up to be better than the Wii U version, both graphically and functionally. Already got spoiled on some bonus content that ties up at least one cliffhanger too.
