hey y'all! here's this week's prompt :] explore the concept of time in your writing. play with the idea of how we perceive passing time [linear/cyclical/all at once/not at all] and make it weird and surreal, or maybe go more classic & write some fun time travel/time loop fiction. how does time shape us?

the straightforwardness of this is very clean, very powerful. it feels like a monologue, almost, a warning with weight from the line breaks. i like how it closes and ends with 'you never forget the smell'--giving it the definite article and repetition instead of a description

I've loved all of the prompts, but I've been swamped all month! Finished up and posted the piece I started for the feb(!!) echo prompt, hopefully freeing myself from the "oh god i can't read anyone else's before I write my version what if i can never have an original idea" cycle.
