Dear everyone with a gallery of your artwork, I'm so glad you're putting your art out there and I love seeing it. But ya *gotta* compress your files (and sometimes colors). Huge load times on your site hurts your viewers, and chances your art will get seen! I love you. Keep it up.

thanks for the reminder sorry I will continue procrastinating on compressing my photos
Some tips: 1) Reduce file size to what they will be displayed on the screen and not larger. 2) If using JPEGs, compression at 85% marginally affects appearance but reduces the file size a lot.
neocities is good but is not built to serve 500MB of images anytime someone views an artist's gallery
