If I had realised that Twine was perfectly fine as an "all purpose" hypertext authoring system, I might have checked it out a lot sooner! Darn... I think I'm getting hooked and sidetracked again! What shall an easily distracted soul do? [[cry a river]] or [[jump in the Twine rabbit hole]]? :) :) :)

ahaha I'm always team rabbit hole! since the IFComp games are now available for playing & judging, I am once again overcome with feelings of "ooh I should write a hypertext thing..."

not to make any promises, but after revisiting the first two issues of {{reverberations}} and still digging the format, I think I'll go back to that project as a weekly or at least semi-regular newsletter now that VEDS is coming to a close.

Hi there. I saw you're in the thick of a Tom Baker/Doctor Who run and thought you might be interested in this, if you hadn't crossed it already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-v85qklHqw. It's an episode of Have I Got News For You with Baker guest hosting. Not always as wholesome as in Doctor Who but he's on cracking form.

I've been reading through the blog archive and wow! many of the thoughts expressed really speak to me. for example, the recent "What Is A Relationship?" piece - finding that balance, accepting ourselves and others while still voicing our needs and values can be challenging, but that's the work of relationships! really looking forward to clicking around the site and reading more.

I did a film theory course with John Tulloch who wrote a book on the classic Dr Who. It included the episode Creature from the Pit which we had to do a Marxist analysis for. Tulloch later was a victim in the London bombing and wrote a book about it. Tom Baker is still the best. Douglas Adams was script editor during Baker’s tenure.

ahh thanks Seán! I so appreciate you listening. and for audio dramas, I definitely think the podcast The Truth is a good place to begin. the episodes are typically <30min, the sound is great, and the stories are quite varied! plenty to choose from :)
