Some of the most tyrannical behaviors arise from personal insecurity...For example, one of the deepest forms of "internalized oppression" is to repeat to oneself "you will never be enough". It can lead to desires that are insatiable and an "ends justifies the means" attitude towards trying to fulfill them.
But an inner void cannot be filled with something external. Whether "rich" or "poor", what good is any of it if we are never at peace? So, you do not need to "do" or "have" anything to be "enough" my friend. You already are.
I understand that one...I've been wanting to go deeper into integrative bodywork (i.e.: Hakomi, Trigger Point Therapy, Foundation Training, etc.). While they require some freedom in movement, I cannot recommend Trauma Release Exercises enough: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1533210106297989 * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeUioDuJjFI * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTPFbd-5xmE
thank you! I will look into TRE. sadly, I am a mess of unexamined and neglected trigger points, a feedback loop of stress and tension
ROFL! I hadn't heard that one before...In all seriousness, I'm glad that you made this website. I remember the other wonderful iterations preceding it, and it has led to many enjoyable conversations. People sometimes find their identity in labels, but constructive actions motivated by sincere caring mean so much more. You have expressed that meaning. I hope you are doing well 💜🕊️
it's always been good talking to you, Sage. I'm sorry for the times I have been too harsh or blunt with my words; I'm just tired, exhausted, always have been and maybe always will be. thank you for teaching me to be relentlessly constructive 🌝
❤️ love yours too!
