Most episodes are very short (only a few minutes long on average) and have some kind of educational component to them...Strong Doraemon influence in many ways.
@misswannabe Yeah, I found several 2008 olympic episodes and some that seem even more recent (increased use of CGI). Additionally, there was a spin-off in 2009. That said, all other details are fuzzy for us Westerners.
According to Baidu (i.e.: "Chinese Google"), Blue Cat is 2,900+ episodes across eight series. It also gives the episode counts for the first six (424, 384, 257, 264, 312, and 400, respectively). So, that's 2,041 episodes...
...The eighth one, 蓝猫淘气3000问之消防大本营, was produced for the Ministry of Public Security and the fire department of Hunan Province in 2007. All 119 episodes of it can be watched here [works outside of China]: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1JW411e7JR/
...That's still 700+ episodes not accounted for. I am guessing around 400 of those are from series seven. The miscellaneous other 300+ are probably various spin-offs and promotional materials...Sorry if that is a lot of superfluous detail. lol
