I'm kinda curious, folks... I kept on hearing people talking about the sudden appearance of Nekoweb, a webhost in a similar vein to Neocities. From what you've seen so far, what does it offer differently? I'm still intrigued over it :V
it's got a better editor, more customizable site previews, the social aspect is a little more interesting, but overall it's similar enough to be easy to use... i'm enjoying it a lot so far
It's kind of the same except without microblogging and it's added customizable site previews. Harder to use external tools to work on your site, if that matters to you, but I believe community members are trying to come up with some.
I also just noticed- the most wholesome part is the fact it was made by Neocities peeps too, such as Dimden and Melps... I recognize some of these people ^^
@nenrikido Hm, I see. I figured it would be harder because of the hosting of the site on a github, but I wish them the best figuring out ways to polish stuff. For now, I'm sticking to Neocities, since I'm used to how it is for now ^^
not fan at all. I think it was a perfect host for kawaii and girly sites. but for people who likes dark and bloody, its a conflict. look at my address, https://jaggiebrawlers.nekoweb.org/ it doesnt seem to go
@chocolaterevel I can see why- it can be kinda hard to read it :T I feel they used it because some types of sites from the 2000s would use that font. It's built in the system, if I'm not mistaken. And yee- the previews are quite funky, I can see how they would catch a person's eye more easily.
@jaggiescrapper Personally speaking, I feel it's a matter of time until the vibes get more diverse in the community. The same way Neocities is very mixed, Nekoweb might end up mixed too ^^
@ninacti0n you might be right but c'mon.. a domain with word "cat" on it! I dont even like cats. at least neocities is a legacy of geocities, the grandfather of free web hosting
its cute! certainly not going to be using it as actively as neocities but i am setting up a little outpost.& the live cursors made me experience childlike whimsy again i love them so
@webcatz Oh yeah, I noticed the cursors too! They're a very silly detail ^^ I feel the only use I would find for it would be to have better management over certain pages, but that just feels redundant lol. I'll stick here for the time being ^^

@glassheart Hmm, that does sound interesting... I'm tempted to create an acc there, but I might still give it some time :]

Not a fan of the tiny font honestly. The customisable thumbnails are cool!
