Okay, am I insane / did I forget me mass-deleting some pics, or is imgur deleting people's uploaded images??? I've been going through my website nowadays and finding more and more images hosted on imgur that are now suddenly deleted when I do NOT remember deleting them. Ik they enstated a policy regarding deleting old images, but that was for either explicit images or ones not tied to an account and mine were neither

I know I keep saying this every other month, but GOD it really sucks when you find a website that you really like, only to be slapped across the face by precisely 50 bajillion transphobic dogwhistles once you get to a certain page.

I should add one of Jessie Gender's videos to my video essay recs page. She has a lot of great stuff debunking transphobic brainworms.

Yeah I've come across this more than once, bonus points if they're part of a certain webring that shall remain nameless. It really sucks how much of a reach anti-trans brainworms have, even in the oldweb community. :/ Jessie's a great source for breaking down their arguments, and I believe ThoughtSlime made a couple different videos in a similar vein.

First I noticed this issue with my otherkin shrine (still not fully fixed), then my Wukong shrine, and now my poor Splatoon idols shrine has been GUTTED because it almost ENTIRELY relied on images..... orz
It’s definitely something going on with Imgur, I just saw another post from someone saying one of their assets that was still hosted on imgur just broke. Not sure if Imgur themselves are mass deleting images or what but it’s definitely something on their end
imgurs been saying they would do this from what i heard :( just praying they dont delete everything!! theres a few other sites that are better to trust with your images ill post another reply with them
