Congratulations on being in graduate school--it helped my friend get a good job, I hope it yields the same results for you! I think school can take a person away from really digging into their lives, so hopefully the piece of paper puts you in a spot where it is easier to get back to the task of living.
it's funny you have that impression, because while I was much too wishy-washy to take advantage of much, undergrad absolutely was the time when I felt most alive in my adult life so far, but I was also very lucky to be at a campus that let me keep coursework and life + art completely separate.
