i thought my life would end after i shut down my itch.io account. but it turns out, life without itch.io is exactly the same as it was WITH it, only with less concern that my instrumental only audio projects will be somehow found to be violating terms and conditions regarding adult content (read as: "made by a trans woman")

ok, at first i thought 50 new ai scrapers showed up because i had 751 MB bandwidth used. but looking on the project github i think it was just the bandwidth monitor being retuned. still, 751 MB bandwidth usage over just 5 days (considering i KNOW 95% of that isn't real humans) is still troubling. the very real possibility still exists that ai scrapers alone can max out a site's bandwidth, essentially DDoS'ing it.

well i mean, it WAS made by a trans woman, but it's lyricless music. there's only a breach of terms if you're looking for reasons to axe someone off your service.
I'm so saddened by itch's decisions smhI really like them a lot so its really disheartening to see them embracing censorship like this. I'm thinking it might be time to move my games and zines to my neocities site just to be on the safe side
i think they've begun re-indexing some of the games that were hidden and were looking into alt payment processors as well to not rely on Mastercard, but it sucks this had to happen in the first place
