been kinda drained and preocupied with other stuff for a few months now but hopefully next week (might end up being the week after) im going to fix shit on my site and get stuff updated, work on stuff i want to work on and so on and so on. my sites gone pretty stale and broke and cruddy from neglect but im looking forward to fixing it up

I hope that your CRT is fine, fixing it won't be a trivial thing and the current there is huge. I used to have two CRTs (LG flatron and some really old noname) that at first started to occasionally display everything with yellow hue and after a while it smoked a bit and get slightly fried on the inside, fortunately it didn't set on fire.

im pretty sure the crt itself is all good fortunately, im quite scared of them so ive been pretty cautious about it lol. thats too bad about your crts

Only other advice I can give at this point regarding the eMac is check to make sure you pressed the PMU Reset Button after installing a new PRAM battery (https://files.catbox.moe/8m685b.jpg). Also, the video you shared of you trying to turn it on: from my experience, it's not supposed to sound like that. My only guesses at this point would be either Power Supply failure, capacitor problems, or faulty CRT.

thats a bummer, i really hope its just the psu because im pretty confident i could fix that unlike the crt. ive heard emacs got caught in the capacitor plague of the 00s. i actually didnt press that button! thanks for all the resources dude i really appreciate it. i guess atleast if i cant fix it i got it for a very decent price and it came with the original mouse and keyboard

Yo, an eMac!! I remember buying one a few years ago, they're very interesting machines. Sorry to hear your's isn't working. Have you tried removing the PRAM battery and turning it on, or reseating the RAM sticks in case they got loosened during transit?

i never considered just straight up taking the battery out. i did order a replacement but in the meanwhile i might aswell give that a try. i also havent tried moving the ram, ill try that out next if taking the battery out doesnt work. really really really apreciate the advice, ive been struggling to find any info about the emac :'')
