Hey, mind if I ask two questions? - I am dying to know the source of those H*rry P*tter "screenshots" you used - I think I remember you mentioning in an earlier version of the page that Jill Off was based on an unhealthy relationship, but it isn't mentioned there now. Was there a new development with that situation that I missed?

Heya. The screenshots are from Pottergame by Kate Barratt. I just thought it would be funny to fully commit to the Not Perceiving Official Potter Media bit. (also getting screenshots of old Mac ports is haaaard lmao) Also I cut a few lines from the MJO listing because dredging up things from other people's personal lives based on internet hearsay is Bad Actually and I should not have put it there in the first place

Completely valid and fair on Jill. Also fully in favour of not acknowledging Wizard Boy. Sister and I used to play the Mac ports of the Wizard Boy games and I've considered reviewing them while committing to a similar bit and just calling him and the game Smelly Wizard Boy for the entire review. I remember liking the games but have ZERO affection for the series anymore.

Man I don't remember much about Gish but I do remember the phenomenon you describe of being too sticky to get around corners and having to wiggle. Do you think people were more forgiving because we didn't know any better in terms of physics or it was a nice break from more rigid platformers of the time?

Minor housekeeping today. The game review index now lists what version of Mac OS I played any Mac game I reviewed on, and the reviews themselves now list what PowerPC Mac OS versions the game in question is compatible with.

Ok that looks fun, but I had no idea Super Monkey Ball was so crazy. I've only had the GameCube one and we only ever played the Super Monkey Flight minigame for literally thousands of hours, never touched single player.

But the real headline here is I never heard of Nanosaur or read your review and both are amazing. I feel like Nanosaur and El Fish plots have to be part of the same Games Cinematic Universe somehow. I am downloading it as I type!

Just caught up on your last two reviews. Creatures is another one that my GF and I have got on GOG and need to sink more time into. We're both into complex vpets that implement a-life, so it's up our alleys. Strong agree with the AI sentiments as well, and also absolutely agree that games in multiple windows you can rearrange are peak! Lord Monarch Online was one of the games that really sparked my love for that.
