i want to again remind folks the purpose of a splash page isn't to just be decoration or waste a visitor's time with another link to click before they access your site. it's so you can tell visitors what they'd need to access your site (ex. javascript capabilities) and warn for content (ex. nsfw or flashing images)

i'm not trying to pick on anyone but every time i see a splash page with a neon flashing background and max volume nightcore with no off function and nothing else but an enter link it genuinely worries me bc someone could have a seizure, get hearing damage if they had on headphones, etc... and then it also just genuinely irks me. i get having certain aesthetics but not if it literally hurts my eyes and ears

I wanna update my site so much but I have been super busy still! I've at least finally cleaned my scanner (which had goodness knows what like, -inside- it somehow) so the mountain of things that were waiting on that can at least be chipped away at soon :3

Scrap that for now I guess - scanner ended up having another problem and then there were other problems with the two OTHER scanners I borrowed to try so that's all a bust for now :<

This was me during my Communication Media class years back. We were learning Flash/HTML at the time, so I just went ahead and did my own thing and the professor couldn't do much about it, since the work was better than what he could teach.
