Late response, but I was just looking through your Tomb Raider pages again. I completely agree with the bit on Thames Wharf! The Windows 9x and I believe Mac OS Classic original versions of Tomb Raider 3 also both have more remastered-esque lighting as well, it seems to be only the PS1 version that has the cool deep blue glow to everything. It's a shame since they're otherwise superior to the PS1 version

Really fascinating read on the classic trans games page! I was really happy to find out that so many of the Mac ports of games I really loved playing on that platform like Duke 3D and Tomb Raider were trans developed, and I always love seeing the history of LGBT+ stuff in gaming.

This has been a big labour of love for me and involved me playing through the whole game twice in a row. It currently has pages analysing the weapons, enemies and characters. Later I want to make more pages about other elements of the game too, such as my thoughts on the individual level designs and source port comparisons.

I was a Duke 3D person although I did play all of them, I think I only had the shareware of Blood. I've bookmarked this for later although I had a scan through, had completely forgotten about the voodoo doll. Games used to be real fun!

@p7uen Duke 3D is really close to Blood for me, they're both extremely high quality and highly replayable classics. The varied and non-linear levels and large and unique arsenals in both games really nail what I love about the genre

Biting the bullet and working on that name change. Moving forward the site's name will be OverClockWorked. Wanted something that has both a techy and dollish vibe, and I think I'm happy with this. Bare with me while I fix up my site and edit all of the broken links and rewrite the front page!

I probably should change the name of my website since there's a lot of other things out there called "radpage" that come up before my site in web searches. Just also don't want to have to change urls, blegh
Enjoyed your writeup, I have played Bubble Bobble as much as the next person but never realised it was that deep, or that it had a ridiculous story.

In my opinion it's the gold standard for arcade game design; super easy to understand and pick up and play, with the replay value being not just because of difficulty, but also because of the underlying depth and complexity and secrets to uncover which can result in even replaying early levels being a different experience now that you can utilise those hidden mechanics. It's why i'm very fond of shoot-em-ups too!

Thank you! Loving what you've got going on your site too, super cute. Was just thinking about Tomb Raider yesterday and how I still really need to play through Tomb Raider 2 (I've beaten both 1 and 3 multiple times so I have little excuse ahaha)

Pipe Dream on Windows 95 is the version i'm most familiar with. It had bright green flooz instead of pink.
@pixelglade It's slightly odd that the flooz isn't green in the Mac version tbh, though I'm not as familiar with how the 4 color mode palettes work on Mac OS Classic. Had to catch myself instinctively typing "green flooz" into the review because I kept forgetting it was pink in the Mac version after looking at other ports to compare!
There were so many knockoffs of Pipe Dream I think many were trying to distinguish themselves from the original by changing the colours. Also in the process of looking up the colour palette for classic mac os I learned about old monitors using RGB565 colours which is absolutely fascinating.
