I certainly hope all goes well for Murdoch. I have never owned a Guinea pig, but I've had friends who have owned Guinea pigs, and "Skinny Pigs", and they were just so cute! Take care, my thoughts will be with Murdoch and yourself.

hey congratulations on getting into art college! I was(am?) in a similar situation to yours. high school was extremely alienating and strange. I know it’s hard, and easier said than done but please don’t dwell on it too much. the past 4 years were already difficult as it, don’t punish yourself further by beating yourself up over what you could have done. you didn’t screw up, you just exist in a way that you were com

High school is truly a bizarre, self-contained, and fractious universe all to its own. It's really nothing like "real life" and you will be surprised at how wide everything will soon appear now that you're out. Really. School is an awful experience overall, and I know it doesn't seem like it now, but life is so much bigger. You'll have more opportunities to find friends and do meaningful stuff in college (I am also a shy shut-in, but my uni life has been much more satisfying). I hope you'll find a reason good enough to go outside soon!

School is a space you'll forget about quickly. The only people I know who still talked about it after a year were those whose minds and lives didn't really move on afterwards. Have fun at art school. Fair warning: If you identify with the protagonist of Art School Confidential, it's not going to be great. But if it goes down badly, after graduation, no one talks about that anymore, either.

Congratulations! You did it! Passing high school _is_ an achievement! I never passed high school, and I know plenty of people that despite of their high intelligence, never passed high school. Just to put it in perspective. You don't have to be hard on yourself in that manner. And I think the people in art college like art, so you have a common interest to talk about, which I think makes it easier to make contact
