So many super cool people are following me! I'm actually quite nervous about taking my time with updates, since I don't want to disappoint y'all or make you think I abandoned this site 😭 I'm still on my JS learning arc if anyone is asking (I wanna be able to do cool stuff beyond css)

Just a small bit of advice: Don't fall into the same pattern that YouTube creators fall into, feeling pressured to deliver, because that will just ruin it for life. Take your time. As a follower I have a ton of patience.

most things are best slow cooked :) try not to rush! delay an update for a day, sometimes new things come along the way. that helps me alleviate my own self-induced stress to update my page lol. it gives me incentive to take my time, usually there's a bug i can fix or new idea i can add, which makes it more satisfying than releasing something i feel is 'half baked'.

Oh hey, the site just broke 100+ followers, thanks so much to everyone who has humoured my weirdo doll ramblings about obscure Mac shareware! I'd do some kind of special review for the occasion, but I've already done Lemmings (my Mac favourite) and Marathon (the most important/historically significant Mac exclusive imo)... maybe I can come up with something else.

It was supposed to be Notepad, Internet Explorer (with pages I repaired from 1999 in archive.org) and MS-DOS. Then it grew to Display Properties, Date/Time Settings, and so on and so forth. Some of the starting code was built off github repos, and some were jettisoned as we learned the design systems were off. Lots of VM referencing. There is some documentation in https://win99.dev/devblog/ but it needs updating.

Playing jackbox with my family. Put on family friendly options because there's an 11y/o playing. Going well. Shows tweet from P. Diddy to ask a question: "Currently 2 hours in a 36 hour (blank)". I think, "Wow, how unfortunate! Must because this game is old." Answer is revealed. "Tantric sex session" ...oops.
