I've been itching to overhaul my site layout, but I both don't have a vision for the new layout, and am not sure I'm ready to part with the current layout, lol.

My zine page now has three zines on it. I've been going back and forth trying to figure out if I want to share all three. They're very vulnerable, and I draw my face fairly realistically in them. I'm more comfortable blurring the face and sharing, because I am proud of these and I want others to see it

these are fantastic!! i really like the blurred effect on the face in don't cry. i was also really struck by the "growth in inhospitable places" sketch in the Depression zine

Beautiful sentiment. I tell myself the same thing, that no matter what, things will be different tomorrow. It makes things seem more important. I have to know, what was the website/blog you mentioned?

That's a good approach, I should try it! Also, coming from a trans guy, I cut and have cut my hair a lot (mainly fringe adjustment or undercuts). Partially for the cheapness/convenience, but also I really dislike the hair salon experience for multiple reasons.

Thank you both for your kind comments. I'm glad I'm not alone with the hair cutting. It's such a personal thing. I found https://noodledesk.net/garden/dessin this post impactful, and almost tangentially related, regarding uncertainty and the idea that the things we desire are closer than we think. I wrote that sentence, really, having multiple websites/blogs in mind that have touched me during my short time here.

it feels almost religious, in the way one is humbled before divinity, fearful and yet brave enough to do so anyway. it's really hard to write, especially when you feel like what you have to say or how you have to say it isn't good enough. but i, for one, am looking forward to more of your magical writing. ☺
