This is so kind swiftred, thank you , this was a nice little surprise :, ) I personally would love to see your drawings , art is something we should never try to "make good", but i totally understand the anxiety; it's affected my own stamina over the years. I hope you're well too, i mosey over sometimes to read your written words because I enjoy much how you talk about things.. please take care of yourself always

I like Town Square, I feel like a lady is going to tell me that there's bandits in a cave to the north, but no one can stop them due to monsters in the desert listening to it. Beep Box seems like it could be very fun!

i forgot to say this but i uploaded some new windows media player themes to my site dashboard. hopefully i'll have a chance to use them, or rather remember to. one is y2k-esque. another one is of a leaf which feels very frutiger aero to me

your thoughts on idolism's effects on an inferiority complex hit hard. i do the same exact thing. i always think of everyone as infinitely better than me in every way, and on low days, that always leads to trouble. it's been the hardest conceit for me to get rid of.

never meet ur heroes or at least be very careful!!! a friend and i admin this server for my current hugest fav who himself strolled into there the other week so spontaneously it's crazy, been having to temper myself a bit HAHA but handling it much better than 12yo me or even 22yo me would. the internet can be crazy w these directish connections sometimes

does anyone know how to apply a theme switcher just to a specific div class? i'm trying and all my attempts are failing

I use raw Javascript changing CSS for my dark / light mode -- you should be able to do Javascript that affects a specific div ID, so if you turn your class into an ID maybe that would work? Here's a paste of what I have for my very bare bones dark / light mode JS. (disclaimer, I know very little abt JS.)

apparently i can't change the div class into an id without screwing up how the windows 7 style windows look? maybe i can put a div id around it though?

Huh, as far as I know div classes and IDs aren't really mechanically different? You should be able to just change the CSS from .whatever to #whatever, but I'm not sure what is specifically under the hood on your end. You should be able to do an internal div ID you can apply dark mode to even if the outside window is a class?

Sounds like you're encountering CSS specificity issues. This is pretty common. By specificity, elements styled with their IDs will be considered more important than rules written under their class.

Using the theme wizard tool I suggested the other day can resolve this. Remove your CSS stylesheet from your HTML document and use it as the default theme using theme Wizard.

Then you can copy that CSS file and modify it to however you want your next theme to render. Theme Wizard will remove the default theme before applying a custom theme if the default was set using Theme Wizard.

Otherwise, if you just want to overwrite existing CSS code, using the !important keyword in CSS will set that rule to have the highest specificity.
