Definitely gonna make Static Ultra extensions for doing chunks of [MARKDOWN] and [BBCODE] at some point. Been a couple of times where I'd have found those things handy myself (usually when I'm being lazy lol xD).

you can use marked.js + dompurify for a markdown extension. this is what i use for nblog's frontend.js btw

The Syntax Highlighter I use for code blocks on my site is now a Static Ultra extension. I've also turned The Christmas Cloud and the Wonder Flower into extensions, and will add extension pages for those soon (although I doubt anyone will use them anyway lol).

Does anyone know if there is a legitimate (non-greed) reason why we're not just using solar, wind and hyrdo energy for everything? Is it simply not enough to power everything? Not practical in some way? Genuine question, and nothing to do with web building. Just curious lol.

No. Like, not even being sarcastic or silly. It all comes down to someone's already stuffed hip pocket, and people who already have enough money to buy the world ten times over can't stand the thought of having that change, even if they'd not even notice said change. Yeet the rich, baby.

There are technical reasons, such as energy storage, but I'm pretty sure that with the right investment alternatives to fossil fuels could be made more feasible. Some suggest the technology already exists but is being suppressed.

Makes sense! Hopefully smaller/medium sized companies will be able to make things like solar panels much cheaper/more efficient, so we can install them on our own homes.

I have a some solar panels on my roof; they provide enough energy for most of my needs in the summer months, but even if my roof was completely covered, I doubt it would be sufficient for the winter.

@scarecat omg im so late replying.. i use it for a timer. it's a language specifically for monitoring programs open in Windows. i wouldnt recommend- it's very.... eugh

Progress is still good on my upcoming game Superdeb. This last week I've gotten the level editor, collision, level data management and save data management working. Next I'll be finishing the navigation between diff game modes, background and then finally building all the levels. I'm hoping to publish some early version of it by Christmas.

Blimey. NC's stats must include bots and crawlers etc. And there must be a lot of them, because my site is certainly not getting >100 unique visits a day from actual humans lol. Highly recommend goatcounter.com (it's free) if you'd like accurate stats for your website.

@janoswan i used the smaller ones a lot when i was little! i recognize so many of them. i like to use the bigger ones as website buttons (the ones people trade w/ eachother)

@profsugoi honestly i dont really differentiate between "buttons" and "banners," if it's rather landscape oriented and says/promotes something, it's a banner and it doesn't matter if it's also a hyperlink.
