@bojan thanks! There isn't any special code involved; it's just an "img" tag with the small image as it's src wrapped with an "a" that leads to the full size image. I use catbox.moe for hosting, it generates thumbnails for images automatically.

Nice site. Your travelogues were nice reads and photos were lovely to look at. Seeing your auto imagery, I assume you like Initial D, if so, my music playlist has songs from the soundtrack, as well as songs related to the franchise. That aside, keep up the good work!

Thank you, I'm really glad you've enjoyed my website. Initial D was a major turning point in my life as it was the first anime I watched, and it was the thing that sucked me into the Japanese cultural rabbit hole.

Nothing special; I just found out that the photos look nice after Gimp's "Color to Gray" tool. Also the distance matters; shooting a bit more far away from the screen gives the pics a kind of a "printed" look.

I almost made a pinhole lens when i was drilling out a body cap for the fisheye, but by the time i used my smallest drill bit the hole was already letting wayyyyy too much light in lol, fun to experiment though

I think it's great about the cherry blossoms photo being used for an album cover. As for pinhole cameras, back when I was at college we made some using photo-sensitive paper and finalised them in the lab.

Your photos are simply beautiful! I don't know enough about photography to express it in a sophisticated way, but I I find them very peaceful and comforting. The colors are always so tranquil and inviting...

Thank you!! The colors are actually from (dumb) post processing, and the raw photos don't look like that. Some are from ready-to-use presets, some are results of my own experiments. It's a two-sided coin really, but I'm glad that it works at least.

I imagined you applied some filters/post-processing and that the original photos were different, but nevertheless, the end result is very pleasing, and imo that's what counts! :)

A redesign of your site would be cool to see. I tried having different designs for different pages on my site before, but I eventually consolidated a lot of them because it was a little jarring jumping between different designs.
I love your current design, but if you don't like it anymore it could be time for a change! I love ur paint art btw
Dear lord, I really hope everything for you works out and you end up not getting onto that draft!! Also, a redesign isn't absolutely necessary for a site like yours, though, if you feel like your current style is in need of change, I'm all for it!
Thank you for your replies, everyone. By redesign I mean keep the background, the header style etc., so mostly layout changes with a bit of other changes while keeping the same overall esthetic.
