I think it's just a halloween thing. If you inspect element on the image the alt text says "neocities mascot wearing a halloween mask."

i really wanted to update my site on saturday but i got very sick :< can't leave the bed so i might take a short break from making my website. recently every time i thought about working on my site - i wasn't feeling that happy. making my website shouldn't feel like a chore!

The layout for your photo diary is super cute!! The collages you made are so fun too, they're personal and COZY! The embroidery on your clothes is such a nice touch too... I have some pieces I've been meaning to do the same with too! ;u;

Admittedly a little nervous people won’t like the design of the new site because it’s certainly less image/gif heavy, especially the homepage (except on pages that are about viewing images like ocs or the gallery/commissions) but at the same time it still has the exact same pages as the old layout so really it’s just an aesthetic change to something more organized/sleeker (which is what I wanted) then (1/2)

The design of my current site which is admittedly pretty amateur (I literally put images/stamps everywhere I wanted to because I thought it looked cool and I didn’t know about the tag till recently for breaking up contents hence all the giant plant dividers). Either way I’m happy with how it’s turning out so I hope others will be too! (2/2)

Either way I saved a copy of the site in its final state like this to my computer so I’ll see if I can figure out a way to upload an archive of it to the new layout
