Neocities has been popping up on TikTok and other mainstream social media as the new "cool and unique" place. So it's no surprise that a bunch of attention-seeking idiots are showing up. I just hope they don't turn this place into another generic social media trend.

I think that neocities letting you actually find people who think like you and are into the same things as you, being able to build a community through people visiting your website and following you pretty much makes it so AI sloppers can make a somewhat safe space for them, since they are only in a specific corner of neo that people dont really care to look at, so people dont criticize them.

It’s because people like that want to be like us so bad but are too lazy and don’t have any passion or willpower for anything they just see how it looks and the aesthetic, so they’ll come on here, make their meaningless personalityless AI chatgbt coded websites and probably abandon them when the trend is over.

there's also exactly 71 hamster skins in the files and i'm debating if i want to offload the 15 megs or so onto an imgur photo album, or put them on my own site and split the skins page into two or three pages
