Neocities has been popping up on TikTok and other mainstream social media as the new "cool and unique" place. So it's no surprise that a bunch of attention-seeking idiots are showing up. I just hope they don't turn this place into another generic social media trend.

I think that neocities letting you actually find people who think like you and are into the same things as you, being able to build a community through people visiting your website and following you pretty much makes it so AI sloppers can make a somewhat safe space for them, since they are only in a specific corner of neo that people dont really care to look at, so people dont criticize them.
By "another generic social media trend" I mean a boring place full of attention-seeking people pretending to be unique while copying everyone else, posting shallow, personality-less content. That's what I mean.
