Wow! Did you grow your hair with the intent to sell it? Is selling hair normal there? (It's not typical in the USA, we typically donate it but from my understanding, a lot of donated hair is trashed or not used for intended purposes.) I bet your head feels so lightweight!

First off, adore the site name- bone folders are some of my favorite tools. Reading and I adore the play of "I Am a Giant Deep Sea Isopod" so far- clever metaphor! (I also love isopods, so it caught my eye)

i like it. i'm a professional editor and it would never fly for my purposes (kids books). but the meaning is clear and it has good flavor despite being gramatically incorrect.

@owlroost i had a whole late-night delirium conversation during college (you know the type) about that horse raced by the barn sentence... i didn't know it was called a garden path sentence! it's almost the sentence equivalent of a shaggy dog story

Thanks for the thorough reply! I'm sure people sell their hair here, it's just not something you hear about. Buyers want virgin hair of a certain texture and quality, so most extentions for sale here seem to be Asian hair. I had extensions for a brief period and we go to the beauty supply store or shop online for the wefts. I've never heard of a salon selling or processing hair other than cutting it for you to donate
on your own. People who donate theirs send it to places like Locks of Love, who make wigs for sick children. That's the appeal of donating it, that it's supposedly going to a sick woman or child. But I agree with you, at least with selling it you know there's someone who will buy it and love it!
when I was a kid the "We Buy Hair" ads on the walls and streetlighs were so omnipresent that I thought selling hair was just something long-haired people do quite often
