and same as well!! your posts sound really fun to read :D although im on a hiatus myself with ffxiv (and i have to peep a little shyly cause im only at ShB), i really liked reading your 12th anni post, especially as someone who has had an MMO myself that i've played for over a decade and unfortunately dropped because of the community. it's a fascinating insight though to listen from people who have played for so long

the idea of making a genshin wiki was genius!! now i kinda wanna make one for the sims since it's the only game i'm playing rn, maybe even for my family, that'd be fun. also seeing how organized you are made me miss playing genshin

i actually do have one for my sims :P they also use a little database for the name + their aspiration + generation count. like one of my site quote says "[on the verge of having a complete breakdown] i need to make some kind of list or perhaps sort things into categories"

I selfhost everything (tbfmy site isn't hosted on Neocites so I have room), but I compress my art using Caesium Image Compressor at 80% quality and then convert it to webp. This helps tremendously! With large painting, I don't notice much difference in visual fidelity even if I'm zoomed in

sighs i might just have to look into webp for hosting my full art pieces, most of the ones i post online are jpeg'd and 80% quality for social media sharing, but my older stuff isnt
