Why isn't The Dickens Project listed under Projects nav-bar link?

A good point. Nor is George Eliot. I’ve done reviews for both but just haven’t gotten around to creating a project page for them which will have background information on the authors. This website is pretty big now and it just takes time to move things along slowly

At the moment I’ve just finished a long book which has taken weeks to read. Spent hours today making notes and getting a partial draft written. Will have to finish writing it and get the page together tomorrow. And I have a lot going on besides the website.

But it’s nice to know at least one person is paying attention. Thanks! :-)

Thanks to Mike of No Happy Nonsense, I've discovered what an RSS feed is and have been able to make a basic start to it for our website. There is a link to his article in the latest blog post in our About/Blog page

I have always been on the look out for stories that are set in closed system locations like small towns. Will surely keep my eyes open for Michael Duffy books, except I don't think I will find them here.

On a sidenote, the site isn't loading smoothly in my browser. The sidebars and the navigation bar links don't render properly. It opens perfectly in a private browser mode. So that means the new styling is getting mixed up with the old stuff cached by my computer. How do I fix this without deleting all of my browser history?

Victoria had the same problem. Hold down Ctrl and press F5. That will force the page to reload and fix the problem

The only way you could get Duffy’s books is through the orphan rock website

That's quite a bit of Pat Barker you've brought back. I've never read anything outside of the Regeneration Trilogy but that one was great, will wait to hear what you make of the Silence of the Girls.

I’ve only read The Ghost Road from that trilogy which I reviewed. It was very good. I’m interested in reading some of these retelling associated with Greek myth.

Thank you for suggesting "One Cut of the Dead", really enjoyed it! One of a kind movie! Do you have any more horror movies suggestions? :D

I don't watch many horror films. Most of what I have watched is already on your site. One Cut of the Dead was a recommendation from my son which I enjoyed. I'm glad you liked it too!

Two new reviews up today, both from a new reviewer, umbritzer: Train to Pakistan by Khushant Singh and Chess Story by Stefan Zweig

Just so you know, I plan on more book reviews in a bit, I think a have the perfect book to relaunch book reviews (The Pearl by John Steinbeck).

That’s great, although I passed you comment on to Toriaz who dislikes Steinbeck’s writing to the point that I can’t print here what she says about him. If it’s any consolation, she’s not fond of The Great Gatsby either. I never minded Steinbeck. Hope you enjoy it.
