Have not! My list currently contains Humble Pi, the Martian Chronicles, and John Dies at the End, but I can add another on. I'm a fast reader.
What a lovely review! Thank you for sharing. The Japanese culture has such an enigmatic relationship to cats, from the mythology behind the "maneki-neko" or ('beckoning cat') statues, to "Tashirojima", the place informally known as 'Cat Island'. I also can't help but wonder if "The Cat and the City" is influenced by Natsume Soseki's famous "I Am a Cat" novel to some extent. In general, it sounds fascinating!
Victoria, who wrote the review, talked to me about the place of cats in Japanese culture, which is why she included the cat cafe in the sidebar. I know very little about Japanese literature, so I can't comment on Soseki, but I'll forward your comment on to Victoria when I see her next. Thanks!
