Thank you for sharing! I've always found alternative history a fascinating genre and I'm interested in reading this book now. It makes me think of PKD's "The Man in the High Castle", or the video game series "Wolfenstein". For those who might be interested, Jacob Geller did a fascinating commentary on the latter entitled "Judaism, Whiteness, and Wolfenstein" that is available on YouTube.

I played the original Wolfenstein back in the early 90s. It sure has come a long way. I notice the quote at the beginning of the video attributed to Henry Ford. Ford gets a mention in Roth's book - not a major figure in it - and is given a biography outlining his anti-Semitism. I didn't mention him in the review because there is just so much to talk about and most of it I have to leave out because of space.

I read "Man in the High Castle" many years ago and only have vague memories of it now. Like you, I find alternative history fascinating. As it turns out, the next book I'm reading is also based on WWII. Didn't plan that. It just seemed like a light read which is what I need right now. Thanks for your comments and the interest in our website!

Nice! This double review style is classy. I've also been reading some Jules Verne (The Survivors of the Chancellor) for a book club that I'm in right now.

Best ask letslearntogether on their profile if you mean The Survivors of the Chancellor. I haven’t read that one
