I think 1984 is the only classic I've read that wasn't for school, although if you're up for non-fiction I much preferred his essay "politics and the english language." Both are in the public domain where I live, but I'm not sure about the US/other countries. Gutenberg project is a great place to check.
I picked up a copy of 1984 a few months ago. It should make for a good and quick read looking at it, thank you.
Gutenberg is available here and I believe the works were released into the public domain by Orwell's estate, so it should be available.
This probably counts as a short story and not a novel but I would recommend "To Build a Fire" by Jack London, its a short read but its very well written
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i love interactive webbys so I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS COMMENT!!! thank you!!!!
Thanks a lot, I am doing somewhat ok. I have been busy writing a few things but did not share them yet. I will be back on track really soon. It is good to see there are people who cares about the stuff I write. I really did not want to post stuff like the last thing I posted every single day. It was best for me to take a break for a while. Bad mood is contagious, hope I did not bring people's mood down.
look forward to updates. Keep up the good work!
