WOOOO im so excited

new blog post! i'm getting into that halloween spirit by posting about something truly bone-chilling: genai (<- imagine a flash of lightning here)

Idk. The more thought I put into it, the more I dislike the concept of all of this. Kyle Within that blog post acknowledged the fact that there are legitimate climate change concerns with AI then proceeded to use it for a "April fools joke". Then he added it back as "Penelope" and not as a joke. The only reasons it was removed was because of technical difficulties and the massive amount of backlash from users.

I won't be leaving until their is proof that Kyle is using our data for training purposes or if the editor gets added back then I'm likely to keep a landing page here and move over to a self hosted site.

@gremlin yea, definitely fair. i'm not particularly confident he's changed his mind, to be clear, i just also think a year old blog post isn't the best source for his current stance. and i'm definitely not pro ai being integrated here, but i also don't really feel like it'd be that much different to most other decent sized platforms/the internet overall, so i don't personally feel like changing platforms/hosts lol

This morning I made a blog post about this whole situation with links/sources, it's worth a read because honestly there's more to it then just the Kyle's old blog post

the source code for Penelope is still there, it's just hidden normally.

No problem, I've heard lots of people say that people are just reacting to kyles blog which made me tilt my head a bit because I knew there was more to it then just that lol
