i love all your techie guides! can i make a suggestion for quitting spotify (since my phone and newpipe do not get along)? use a p2p network to download high quality audio files then find a local music playing app. (my microSD slot helps) i use soulseek and musicolet respectively. love your free advice btw, not something i often say!

I think spotify is particularly tough to replace. I try to grab individual files from the bay and put them on an old-style mp3 player but it feels like more work than other types of media

i just discovered theres a website a guy set up that's nothing but hex colour values converted to RGB, each colour is its own page. the thing is there's somewhere like 16M colours in the 24-bit model so it's acting like a honeypot for ai scrapers and search engine spiders. absolute king $#!7. god tier web design.

i read about it on the hackernews gopher portal so i dont actually have a link. but i figure its been pulling in so many scrapers like a black hole you can probably just search for something like "convert #F90CAB to rgb" or something and find it.

yeah, hacks plural. after the initial takedown, someone discovered that the site manager never bothered to change the compromised passwords so they got in again and stole some more data. Then someone DDoS'ed it.
definitely underscores the fact of cloud storage's inherent fallibility. "the cloud" just means "someone else's computer". i dont think i need to talk about google speedrunning KOSA here.
