the sims cc site is giving me a headache. i'm getting hung up on subscriber bonuses. I have a $3 tier and a $6 tier, but I need a $9 tier. nothing ive tried works. i want it to be WORTH $9. something you can look at and go "best $9 i ever spent", so not just some dumbass object recolour. it needs more work than ive given myself time for ._.

i dont want to set deadlines for myself but i want to say the sims 1 fansite will be ready to launch by next week. the page layouts and image formatting is all set, i just have to make stuff lol

deepL is not only 100% genAI at this stage, they're flaunting it like some kind of selling point. i guess i'll be buying that spanish phrasebook and dictionary now.

a few years ago my teachers were begging us to use deepl instead of google translate and now when i use deepl for english im like huh. thats not right. idk if there are any other decent translators and spellcheckers out there without genAI :/

Did something specific happen? I'm out of the loop. As for translators, if you don't use one with machine learning (which rn will all be using LLMs since this is the best use case for them) then you're gonna sit with dictionary-based translators such as linguee and google translate, which dont work well for sentences but are better for words on their own

just looked at the website again, jesus christ that's VERY different from when i last used it. i'll be going back permanently to dictionary-based translators, gonna have to adjust my internet guide too

no propaganda, just age. i don't think she feels she's accountable to anyone anymore because she's old so everyone can just feck off. honestly i had hoped the ship of theseus would get more attention. i shouldn't have made that post.
