Yay a book by Chesterton! I've started Tremendous Trifles recently, already like it after the first chapter :)

A lot of people view consciousness as an emergent property of the brain, but what does that really mean? What is emergence really? There are two types of emergence we have to consider: weak emergence and strong emergence. Weak emergence is your everyday emergence like how a song is composed of simpler tones or how computer parts operate from simpler hardware parts. Strong emergence on the other hand is just magic.

Fantastic read, really interesting. If you don't mind I will follow up because this stuff is so fun to think about. :)

About metka (the markup language), it is very barebones (though I may extend it in the future) - roughly around 300 lines of C - the general idea being that it gives you some simple "commands" that get transformed into HTML structures. I have tried Pandoc in the past, but found it really slow on my older PCs lol
