Origin has some insane drift issue (it's NOT ME) that I can't bother to even try to fix. Something about it using Japanese uh input settings or something idfk. (ALSO it was the first Ys game to ever crash on me, immediately after the 20 minute unskippable intro and before you can save 🫩

) maybe someday I'll try it with keyboard. But THEN I tried Ys Seven and it has this insane tile effect when you play in fullscreen 🫩 so. I'll try the PSP version another time. NOW. I'm trying Celceta and just praying nothing goes wrong I just want to have some fun with Adol why is everything so difficult

I've removed three.js from https://kbz.se and made my own minimal WebGL renderer in it instead. It's just 4 triangles. The page starts much faster now (tell me if I'm wrong!), and the effect is (arguably) cooler.

I have to constantly remind myself to write characters that are actually female. Even if you write fictional characters, it all comes from your head, so the characters are kind of you. I naturally just create characters that are me with a twist. All guys. To write compelling girl characters I have to make a conscious effort and go FAR outside of myself.

My best advice for this is very easily to look at more media that has types of female characters you personally vibe with. It's hard to get started on writing new things, but seeing others do it can help give you a better idea.

When going through my 1 year old notes with jokes and characters, it's obvious I tried to replicate my last (the one on this page) game. Better to come up with something new and different. Probably needed a long break for that to actually happen naturally.
