It is cute! It makes me think of 80's style manga strips like Don't Cry, Tanaka-kun by Hiroshi Tanaka or Chiisana Koi no Monogatari by Chikako Mitsuhashi.

Nah it slaps. When I was younger I didn't understand the appeal of it, now that I'm older I have a real appreciation for designs that are a) extremely distinctive (nothing else looks quite like CSC and you can spot it a mile away) and b) expressive while being simple.

Damn, really wish there was a US version, I really liked it (at least as a kid)!! Hopefully one day someone will sub/dub it!! (If that happens, I'm dying for the review!!)

There was an English dub, but no channel aired it. Unless the anime could be merchandised (Pokemon, Dragon Ball, Rave Master) it was not brought over.

Thanks! And the best thing is we get to do it all over again. It's the 500th review but only the 496th book reviewed. We had a few double-ups on some titles.
