I know you're gonna make a blog post on this but is your user thing entirely in static javascript? If not what external things are you using?

I'm using 000webhost to host my own PHP script, which JavaScript on my Neocities site sends requests to and parses the response. My site/upcoming projects will continue to be a static site first and foremost, but in some projects the account system will provide some extra features to logged in users as an additional, but optional layer.

TIL on Neocities you can view Global activity in the homepage Neocities form by using https://neocities.org/?activity=global instead of https://neocities.org/activity.

it doesnt update that accurately it seems so i like to go to the websites list and use "last updated" instead

Lol; I once watched in a documentary that if you had each atom in the universe represent a digit of googolplex, there wouldn't be enough atoms in the universe to represent googolplex, see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googolplex#In_the_physical_universe

tysm!! i just noticed that little blip- i was trying to make the bg a tad darker last night and i think i accidentally did that to the text;; need more sleep lmao. btw- i love your new design/layout!! its snazzy as heckles
