Think that'll be all for today- did a significant overhaul of the navigation system and streamlined the site a bit. Also categorized resources and moved categories onto their own pages; we added a section for technology links while we were at it. Also made significant tweaks to the homepage and made it easier to copy our banner without having to host it yourself.

That sheaf symbol is strangely broken. I tried to open it in Photoshop and recolour it but for some reason it just won't open. Doesn't even give an any error explaining why.

I found that the problem for finding websites came when Yahoo got rid of their website directories and became more focused on news and advertising. You could use their directory to find sites relevant to whatever you were looking for. That's not to say that they had everything listed, but it was easier to find interesting sites.

One of the most annoying sites for burying others is pinterest. When you search for images now, a lot of the ones that come up point to their website and it's almost impossible to find the original source because people use it to collect things that they want to refer back to. It would be great if the pages could be set to private so only the user sees what they've collected, but not useful for others.

Thank you for your comments, @bright-eyes! Those are some excellent points. I actually really adored those old Yahoo! directories and have fond hours of looking through every single website it had for various topics. Yet another wonderous thing killed off by Yahoo! out of sheer greed, along with Geocities. Curlie and Wiby are the closest we have to that tool on the modern Web.

don't suppose anyone's found an alternative to php/shtml includes? i want to include a header/navigtion that's the same on every page but am not sure if this is possible without getting supporter. also i have no idea about anything to do with javascript lol x

Unfortunately your choices are basically iframes or javascript aha, personally I use javascript and it isn't too difficult really. If you'd like help just lmk!

I used this tutorial for the Javascript method: https://ikewise.neocities.org/includes.htm The only issue is that some people have js disabled on their browser, and if they do they won't be able to see the nav. You'd probably want to remind people to enable js for your website

If you can't do it on the server, grab a static site generator and use your PC. Jekyll, Hugo, and 11ty seem to be the most popular. I use and recommend htp: http://htp.sourceforge.net/

I added a new page to the UFO detailing the Double Empathy Problem, and the inherent issues with the golden rule. I know I've been lagging badly on adding new followers to the Affiliates list and I will hopefully get around to that tomorrow!
