As requested, the Attic converter code. https://satyrs.eu/source/for/app/attic.js Bit of a bodge, but it was one of those projects where once you confirm it works you raise your hands to the sky in relief and swear solemnly never to look at it again.

The actual displaying of the dates is spread thin across my nightmare spaghetti of internationalisation code, so that’s a bring-your-own-beer affair for now! `signedDate` is positive for waxing, negative for waning, and 0 for the hene kai nea, month numbers are 0-indexed from Hecatombæon up, and years and olympiads are 1-indexed.

Living in the UK i have the luxury of always being pretty close to UTC so also this might break terribly if your time zone is far away from either Greenwich or Greece and will *definitely* break horribly if you are in the southern hemisphere.

Oh, and don't worry about it breaking. Living in the southern hemisphere, I'm used to this kind of stuff breaking... but the indomitable human spirit always prevails.

Have fun with the moon calculations then! Last time i tried calculating astronomical positions myself (read: last week) i came to the conclusion that i should turn off the computer, give up, and back away slowly, lol

I remember that there was some page on your site where you explained your particular usage of the Greek calendar, but I'm unable to find it. Did I dream it?

Ahhh, no — i delisted it because updating it for the new year was a chore and I'd finally automated it behind the scenes anyway. It miiiiiight still be at /calendrical but idk if i even ported it over during the shift to self hosting.

I suppose the usecase for OC is to denote it's the author's own character, not one they borrowed from an existing piece of media. If the person is mostly in a fandom sort of environment not marking their characters as OC may often lead to them getting asked "Where is that character from?" often

I guess that in those environments just saying "my character" doesn't clarify things. That's annoying.
