Thanks, Mike & Owl! I've already made another document for new snippets, so maybe in about two years it'll have a sequel haha. I'm glad to hear you like these patchwork-written poems, I really have fun doing them, but the process of collecting enough brain-floatsam for them takes a loooooooooong time.

I enjoyed your office door poem. This abstract geometry you describe that somehow is also endowed with a salivating mouth and tongue, makes me think of what I always imagined Chinese "door gods" as when I first read about them, though traditionally they're usually just depicted as normalish-looking human beings.

Your entry is so moving, and the end is so empowering and beautiful. I was especially struck by "this one curls up small and shuts up, waits for the world to leave (you have such a well-behaved kid!)" as well as the whole metaphor of carefully sewing up what was never truly lost. Just, wow.

new music doodle! come check it out. inspired by me stressing out over my assignment due date. i think one thing i'm happy about is that it sounds quite different from my other music doodles, but still carries a kind of 'signature' i have in my pieces. ☺

I've never heard the term "music doodle" before but it has in an instant rewritten the way I think about composing + made me even more compelled to get back into it

responded to the wrong piece - the bouncy one that I said was like walking along a bridge with your friends was the one at the top of the page, oops. "plea" is not that at all, but definitely does carry a note of familiarity - it's interesting. well-titled

I really enjoyed your take on cruelty. It is interesting how people with seemingly good intentions who care about justice and a better world for all can still be chomping at the bit for their turn to wield cruelty in a way that feels justified, toward those who deserve it as you aptly put it. This odd presupposition that cruelty by default has a place in an ideal world. I'm not sure quite what to make of that yet!
