I don't know what to do with the conversation in the "Theos' PC" segment code wise so right now I'm just formatting it like a screenplay lol. I thought about drawing, I did actually get pretty far with a portrait of Haru but I'm not sure having the same format that the others do works for this scene! .___.'

oh yes I also whined about how it's going to be a really... odd process trying to make theo's PC mobile friendly because it's explicitly meant to be a browser experience, but I'll figure it out. I have ideas

I'm replacing the limbo portraits lmaooo how many times am I going to do this... I need to redo the portraits from Haru's room because I'm experimenting with brushes so the difference in portrait set styles might be confusing idk
I'm also drawing these at 1000 by 1000 px rather than 500, and I think it looks a lot nicer :O

also this is just how I am ;u; I run a project where I voice act and I used to voice act for hours on end, publish the content, and then go back two months later an rerecord, re-edit, and redesign everything LMAO perfectionism and hyperfixation what a combo

in fact I spent like 2 hours pacing back and forth practicing accents so I can ask the DM in this dnd campaign I'm in if I can sneakily change accents on occassion (it would work for the character's background!!))

added more to the chat, maybe I should unlink it from the Haru's Room page until it's totally done, there's more I want to do with his PC. Idk if my ideas will matter storywise though! They'll probably just hint at more lore for what's happening, and add character backstory. Came up with some new gameplay ideas I'm looking forward to though!

I'm gonna cry I was working on coloring a new Theo portrait for the "Theo's PC" section exposition, and I was super into it and my ipad died in the middle of me doing shadows ;n; I also spent like two hours on a freakin hand and I just know it's probably funky because *hands*

omg there's a procreate setting for time lapse I wonder if I have that on by default. That would be kind of cool actually as a record of how I draw now compared to further down the line :O

Finally put some effort into refactoring! I got Limbo cleaned up and removed the switch statements in favor of some basic arrays and some if/elses. Also finally getting to implementing some multiple choice routes yaaaaay! My back is sore from how much I've been at my desk and my sleep schedule has been WILD. Anyway, I need to refactor Haru's room too. I did a tiny bit of drawing for a new Lera page :D

HELLLL yeah I got all of the portraits in Haru's Room cleaned up to match Limbo I feel a lot better about them! And I managed to do it before my ipad died, it was STRUGGLING lmao.
god I drew so many variations of a certain jester (ELEVEN?!) for the Limbo level ;n; it's 3 am but I have taken so many naps that my sleep schedule is whaaack. I have some intro bits laid out to code another conversational scene but with multiple CHOICES! At last!
also gotta say I'm really excited about getting into the stuff beyond the Abyss bc Limbo turned out so fun (so much work for so little, but still...)

I might rework the mySteRioUs figure in Haru's Journal today o____o and think of some ways to make it eerier. I think there's something to be said for simplicity and silence, especially so early on in the game.

ok I went back in and removed A LOT of detail and focused on the main lines for the portrait of That Character. I think it's better, at least better than what was there before

changed the sound in Haru's room - no more music but I hope the new sound isn't too annoying OR too loud I tried to edit it and use javascript to lower it too D:

it's 3am oop- I got "Lera's Stuff" and "My PC" prepped and I'll be adding a Recycling Bin, txt, and jpg icons tomorrow. Really like where this is going!! If I can't sleep I guess I'll be right back at it shortly

started formatting the mIRC chat on Theo's PC! I don't think I'll be able to find the icons for it so it'll be missing stuff even when it's done. But I'm excited to see it, now I have to make it functional @___@ And add many other elements to it. I'm not sure which application I'll work on next, I should probably clean up the taskbar to look more accurate. Eventually I'll be revamp it with in-universe names!
Theo's PC is going to be a longer process but I finally got a clock (it needs some tinkering, as does most of the page) and some sound, the PC part is starting to get so coooool I'm hitting inspiration after my brain being exhausted the last two days!!
I also drew some Theo art finally... And promptly took those down lol. I made a somewhat longer update explaining that in the main page. TLDR; too shy, so scary
lol all of Lera's journal dates were formatted incorrectly :') it's fine, I'm working on the next section which will actually use time throughout the page so maybe it'll help me be less scatterbrained

lol I aged everyone down a little bit because I realized they would be like the same age group as my mom in the 90s and she and her friends weren't acting like this (Theo and Haru my sweet summer children) at that age in the 90s ;n;. I feel like culturally it was a little different, like the expectations for Lera wouldn't be the same as today, but that could also just be the community I was around o:
I need to implement a way to totally close out the windows on Theo's PC, but they can be minimized so it's not the worst thing in the world. I'm working on the next steps for Limbo but I really need to figure out what I'm going to do with Lera's room as a whole. I have ideas but somehow I still feel kind of stumped .-.
