I used this website to make the banners on my site. https://www.thepcmanwebsite.com/banner_creator/88_banner_creator.shtml. Made a larger banner and picked one of the smaller 88x31 buttons as well. Simply downloaded the file, then added the text in GIMP. If you'd like I can make you one, or you can pick out a design yourself. All of the graphics on the website are under the MIT License, so no warranty basically.

hmmm... i know that site too, and also i know make buttons but i'm not a good "button designer". i was also thinking about making a logo similar to the old Internet Explorer logo for this project, but i didn't find out which font is used there.

Personally, I have two buttons, both of which I made in Gimp. For the first one, I filled the background with green, used one of Gimp's render options to make a bevel, and I drew the couch and added the text. For the second one, I found a green marble button template somewhere, and I put text on top of it.

Hey Dann...got a question for you. Trying to figure out why when I use the scripts from your tutorial for a web counter and "Last Update" info pulled from Neocities, sometimes it shows up and sometimes it does not. Haven't edited the code, and it was working fine. Using the image version of the Views script, and the images are pointed in the right place. I'm stumped. Would you be able to help? Thank you

I'm guessing that the proxy site that bypasses the cross domain issues, sometimes doesn't load. Its sort of the only way this will work unkess Neocities allows the api to be read from anywhere

Probably not in the near future. I'd need the TCG2 images first. I only got the first set from a redditor who knew how to navigate the game files. But if I took a deep dive into adding whole new features, I'd be tempted to rewrite the whole app!

Not going to lie, I miss the MIDI version of Celebrate on your website. Maybe it's just because I enjoy the song, but loved the vibe with that cool GIF background you've got.

I miss it too Baloo but I had some complaints about it haha! I've got other plans for it though on a new page. I can't possibly have an old style website without some MIDI tracks.

Neat site man. Was looking at your retro GUI page... I of course use the Classic themes on my Windows 7 machine, and my XP ones as well. I have been using Chicago95 on Debian for some time, but I had no idea there were install scripts for it. I've been using Moonscape on Pale Moon for years now. I think Moonscape also works on the MyPal browser which is, in my opinion, the best for XP. Anyway... great site

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. I took some inspiration from your website, namely the Guestbook with HTML Comments Box. MyPal is a fork of Pale Moon actually. I was inspired to create the guide because Chicago95 had just launched their Python install script, which made installing it much easier. Just trying to give people a fuller view of Web 1.0 here on Neocities, more than just the HTML websites themselves.
