It looks like recursive uploads to Neocities now work, if you do it via drag and drop. :D I've only tested this in Chrome.

Testing on Firefox and it also works! Nice! I did notice some changes to the upload system and page URL displays while editing within the browser. I was wondering what that was for!

Static Ultra v1.2.0 is now available for download. Improved (fully working) compatibility with Neocities clean URLs (without breaking on other web hosts), support for landing pages (like mine), preserves URL parameters in page URLs, theme fall-back to default theme if user selected is deleted, support for infinite sub-folders in site heirarchy, Prism Extension added. I've added a third column to my site, yay. xD This also centers the main column, which is nice. Unrelated: The previous sentence has also caused me to add "centers" to my browser's dictionary, because even through I'm British, I prefer the US spelling lol xD.

Definitely gonna make Static Ultra extensions for doing chunks of [MARKDOWN] and [BBCODE] at some point. Been a couple of times where I'd have found those things handy myself (usually when I'm being lazy lol xD).

you can use marked.js + dompurify for a markdown extension. this is what i use for nblog's frontend.js btw

The Syntax Highlighter I use for code blocks on my site is now a Static Ultra extension. I've also turned The Christmas Cloud and the Wonder Flower into extensions, and will add extension pages for those soon (although I doubt anyone will use them anyway lol).

Does anyone know if there is a legitimate (non-greed) reason why we're not just using solar, wind and hyrdo energy for everything? Is it simply not enough to power everything? Not practical in some way? Genuine question, and nothing to do with web building. Just curious lol.

There are technical reasons, such as energy storage, but I'm pretty sure that with the right investment alternatives to fossil fuels could be made more feasible. Some suggest the technology already exists but is being suppressed.

Makes sense! Hopefully smaller/medium sized companies will be able to make things like solar panels much cheaper/more efficient, so we can install them on our own homes.

I have a some solar panels on my roof; they provide enough energy for most of my needs in the summer months, but even if my roof was completely covered, I doubt it would be sufficient for the winter.
