random but i’m very glad for the community here; i tend to have fomo sometimes with feeling outside of communities but it’s been nice to just keep up with everyone at their own pace and see everything

re: the food log, the credits has where i got the washi tape + code from for it, and griddery (also in credits) is how i got them organized like that :D otherwise its just making them look like lil rounded cards

i wanna join more forum type sites but i dunno how to find them or recommendations ... im already on 32-bit cafe and that falls in line w/my kinda energy level but, im curious for recommendations if ppl have any (i know sometimes there can be very niche forums)

I'm on a forum my friend made! Doesn't have a specific theme to it or anything, but it's been a nice change of pace from just browsing regular social media! I dunno if that would be the kind of thing you're interested in.

dang, a neocities/indie web centric one would be pretty cool, though it mildly feels like having a discord kinda shuffles conversations away from forums to There (at least IMO)

Job hunting SUCKS and stressing about having to find a job sucks, and I get the fear of passion weaning if your hobby becomes a job =.=' From experience I can say it can go both ways.. I've made drawing commissions to people, and some of them I've loved working on, and some of them frustrated me to no end... but when a customer is happy with your work, it's always an awesome feeling ^-^

Keeping it very casual and being upfront about what kind of projects you're ok working on could help. It can be very fun to create for someone else, but only if the vibes are good.

i’m glad art hasn’t been influenced by me doing commissions in the 7 years or so, but it’s the worry of other things that do ;_; or if it leads to burnout and i end up not doing it for myself anymore

Ough yeah, I get that;;; But, as long as you don't rely on it for your livelihood, you can always stop doing websites for money if it starts feeling like, well, work. Burnout suuuckksss so def don't go too hard on yourself ;w;
