hmmm ok so. i was trying to figure out how to do css transformations so i could do the animations on the temple page The Proper Way. and i figured it out!!! which is awesome. but i did have 1 problem that i couldn't figure out how to solve: you'll see when you hover over the car image and the animation starts, it pushes the box to be longer because the transformation rotates the image and makes it take up more space.

sorry i accidentally pressed enter. that wouldn't be consistent across different systems (i generally try to stay away from positioning when i can for this reason). but i can't seem to find another way to make sure the image doesn't disrupt the dimensions of the div while also having it follow the other images. ideas would be appreciated -bobana

I'M DUMB AS ROCKS. i just realized i could fix this with an invisible container around the animations. false alarm!! might work on replacing the gifs with animations now. - bobana

To be clear on the new note, this is largely due to reading the entirety of Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism (which I failed to update on the site as being read) to verify a claim made in one of the Communist Party USA classes, and I've almost completed State and Revolution. These two documents have created a drastic increase in understanding of Marxism-Leninism when paired with what I'd read in Capital.

This has, in turn, clarified to me: 1. I had initially misunderstood some of the concepts (for instance, withering state vs. abolished state) and 2. was far too focused on quality-of-life increases over functionally abolishing imperialism
