I'm undertaking a long task to upgrade most of the reviews on the website to a new format that I started using recently. It doesn't look much different now, but it will allow me to more easily change things across the board in the future. Also adding subscription panels at the bottom, if you're interested

Nice explanation of the detective fiction/heist story dichotomy, really made me think. I haven't read this book but I've seen the Shadow and Bone series. The series had a steampunk vibe and was quite involving but not terribly nutritious. I felt that the worldbuilding had great potential but the emotional dimension was a bit unsophisticated.
