Seeing the reactions I got from the Justin Beiber post, I might as talk about my other pet peeve from the 2000s/early 2010s: Fred, or as I like to call him, Fyaed (as ya is я in cyrillic). I was one of the lucky few who never really watched his content on-line, but as he (Lucas Cruikshank) flooded other media, like the terrible films and shows (which were both cancelled after a few weeks on the air), he became...
... practically unavoidable. At I was not the only one who was not in the least bit a fan and this eventually led to his career's demise, but this just goes to show that humor and entertainment has always had some dumb facet (in this case, a bad microphone) that ages like milk.
Don't forget the Annoying Orange. I think that irked me more than anything else back then. Fred was infuriating but you could more or less avoid him by just not watching his channel or any of the particular shows and such he cameoed on. That damned orange with the uncanny human facial features was EVERYWHERE. I remember Regal Cinemas even had a pre-screening "don't use your phone" ad with it. HORRORS!
Yes, now Annoying Orange sells NFTs. I might as well bring up Gummibar (Gummy Bear), Crazy Frog and Mad Moley. Heck, all of the Jamster ringtones were based off of all of those animations. (I will say that Mad Moley was somewhat humorous though).
