I recently read How to Read Literature Like a Professor and I do not agree with half of what Thomas C. Foster says. The review for this is pending as I am awaiting some exam scores to see that if by breaking some of Foster's rules, one can read at the level of a professor.
Also, Foster uses Twilight as a literary example, and I know this is a low-hanging fruit, but did he have to go there? Additionally, the Lord of the Flies example which appears in the 4K!DS edition looks at things backwards, in my opinion.
